Imperial were voted out of  Div 3 because of non payment of subs. After a subsequent talk with their new contact,  I agreed to re-instate them as long as I receive prompt payment of the subs owed. Grapes who volunteered to replace Imperial will still be promoted to Division 3 as The Sparks declined.  So there will be 13 clubs in Division 3 and only 12 in division 4.  I will not be making any more adjustments to the numbers in the leagues until the 2010 season.

 

  1. RESULTS
    Reminder
    Once again, a reminder that both teams need to notify the Divisional Secretary and the Secretary (for the Web within 72 hours of the game being played by email preferably).
    Late results will result in the offending team losing 1 point. Unless there is good reason 3 points will be deducted from the offending team for matches not played and a 5-0 walkover given to the opposition. This will be reflected in the leagues as soon as possible after the walkover is given.
    Where the offending team is the away team , they will be responsible for reimbursing the home club with pitch costs.

  2. DISCIPLINE
    Any disciplinary matters should be reported initially to the Divisional Secretary and then the Chairman/Secretary if there is a dispute.
    Reminder
    Winter League Officials should not be contacted.  All participants are subject  to the National Disciplinary under the relevant county.

 

  1.  WEBSITE
    The website used to be accessed via   www.weston-super-mare-hockey.org.uk/summerp.html
    It was agreed to create an independent website with a domain name of:
    www.bristolsummerhockey.co.uk
    This is so that when the current web organiser (Ron Edwards) is replaced then a smooth handover is possible.   It was also agreed to be hosted by www.penguin-uk.com.
    The cost will be £17 per year comprising of £10 for the web site hosting and £7 for domain registration.  This new website is now setup and will be updated as the season progresses.

  2. ENTRY FEES AND FINANCE
    Only one club failed to pay it’s  subscription for last season. Imperial, who now owe £28
    No cheque was forthcoming despite numerous reminders.   See note in para 2.

    Since we have a surplus of funds it was decided that the clubs represented at the AGM would not be charged a sub for this season and those clubs not represented would still be charged £20 per team.
    This will be reviewed at the next AGM and if we still have a surplus, a decision will be made whether to make a donation to Bristol Youth Hockey or continue to make no charge for clubs represented at the AGM.

  3. AOB

Until now the contacts list has not been put on the web because of possible email abuse.  It was agreed that if suitable security measures could be introduced then the contacts list would be put on the web as well as being emailed to clubs.

Bristol UWE have renamed themselves as Bristol Hockey Club.
Westbury 1st X1 is now Westbury Bluebottles

Westbury ‘A’     is now Westbury Angels

Westbury ‘B’     is now Westbury Bishops

Westbury ‘C’     is now Westbury Cardinals

Westbury ‘D’     is now Westbury Devils

Robinsons ‘B’ are now Robinsons ‘A’ and Robinsons ‘C’ are now Robinsons ‘B’.

The above changes are reflected in the table in Para 2.
